We're Moving

The Cooper family is moving to Hutto TX on April 13th. Yeah it's gonna be Friday the 13th, but that's no biggie after what we gone through in the last couple of weeks. We decided in late January that we wanted to sell our house in Round Rock and move to Hutto so that we could be close to our Church. We put our house on the market and it was sold in like 5 days. Josh White sold our house and did a great job for us so I'll give him a shameless plug here. So we began searching for our new future home. We looked and found a house at 112 Hanstrom Drive in Hutto. It was a pre-foreclosure and was gonna be a great deal but we would have needed to do a lot of work on the house. So we made an offer and it was accepted in two days which is really quick in the world of banking. So we got our financing, and inspected the house, and everything was great. Until Monday March 27th. When we found out and that people currently in house, could not afford to move anywhere, and would rather be foreclosed on and thus would not sign off on closing. Both realtors in the transaction agree to give them $500 a piece to help them move which they declined. Mind you our house we currently in was supposed to close on the 30th and we were leasing it back for two weeks which would expire on April 13th. The Hanstrom house was supposed to close April 3rd.

So now we're in a pickle. Where do we live? Extended Stay America here we come. And I am trying really hard to have a good attitude about the whole fiasco. So we start looking, and make an offer on another house, but it was not meant to be. Meanwhile time is ticking, where do we live, what do we do? On Friday the 30th we go looking in the last neighborhood in Hutto that we hadn't really seriously considered. Well, God answered my pleas, and boy did He. We looked at the one house they had in inventory, and it was okay, but not what I would love. And then Cynthia, the sales person, said hey I have a house that is going to come on the market if you'd be interested in looking at it. We looked at the house and immediately loved it.

Now, we're moving into a palace. It is a nice one-story, Austin stone and brick Centex house. It's about 1/2 tile and is fully loaded. We are so excited about the house. And when they told us the price, I just couldn't say sold fast enough. So it has been a very humbling experience through what God has done in this. My friends all told me....God has something better, it will all work out for the better, and my reaction was yeah that is good Christian lip service. But I was wrong (please use Marisa Tomei voice ala Mona Lisa Vito here) I am still a little shocked by the whole thing! God's blessing through this whole issue has been truly amazing.

So, If you have absolutely nothing else to do sometime during Friday April the 13th and want to help us load up for Hutto or unload at the new house, all help will be greatly rewarded with some type of food, and thankfulness from me and my family. Please know that you are always welcome at 1305 Creek Bend Cove in Hutto TX 78634. We don't know our home number yet!

Have a wonderful Easter, God is good!
