The Greatest Christmas

This year was the greatest Christmas of my life. For two reasons; one night I asked Richie what he wanted to be when he grew up and he said I want to be like you daddy!

Now what parent doesn't want to hear that phrase, but with it comes an extreme responsibility; everyday I have to be the best example that I can be for my son. It makes me work harder, and I strive to be a good example for him to follow. Although I know already when he becomes a teen-ager his desire to emulate me may greatly decrease, but it is still my goal for him to always want to be like me.

The second reason was having the opportunity to play Santa this year. Watching Richie get all excited for Christmas was priceless. And to think I almost totally messed it up because I let him out of his room as he was going to bed, and Julie had already started putting out gifts. We dodged that bullet for sure. In addition, I got to assemble a Big Wheel with the help of another Elf, and put batteries in just about everything imaginable.

Finally as an added bonus every night Richie and I watched "Trees". (A Christmas Story). When Richie was barely talking all he could utter was the word "Trees" and ever since that is what we called a Christmas Story.

The Cooper family wishes you and yours a very Happy New Year!
